13th Annual Bill Fleeman Gentlemen of Distinction Gala

Cancer affects virtually everyone. In fact, according to the 2015 Cancer Progress Report by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), nearly 90 percent of Americans know someone who has had cancer. Hope Cancer Resources is here to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease. The proceeds from the annual Bill Fleeman Gentlemen of Distinction Gala help make it possible for the organization to continue providing compassionate, professional cancer support and education in the Northwest Arkansas region today and tomorrow.

The Bill Fleeman Gentlemen of Distinction Gala is an annual fundraising event benefiting families served through Hope Cancer Resources. This year's gala will be held on Friday, September 30 at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers. The night will include a live auction, silent auction and a men's fashion show featuring local gentlemen in support of patient services and community education in Northwest Arkansas.The models will be sporting apparel from By Request for Men.

Every year, one local man who has made a difference in the treatment and/or support of cancer patients in Northwest Arkansas is presented with the Bill Fleeman Gentleman of Distinction Award. The award is named after Bill Fleeman, a local entrepreneur who was known for being a true "gentleman of distinction" in all facets of life. He was inspired to do for others, even through his personal cancer journey, and often gave to other families affected by the disease. Bill lost his battle with cancer in 1999. Hope Cancer Resources presents the award every year to honor his legacy. We are honoring Pierce Osborne, II, DDS with the 2016 Bill Fleeman Gentleman of Distinction Award.
