Registration for the 13th Annual Heather Ridley-Fleeman Battle for Hope is officially open!

Battle for Hope began in 2005 as a way to honor the life of Heather Ridley-Fleeman and raise awareness of colon cancer. Heather was a daughter, sister, wife, friend, and well-known member of the Northwest Arkansas community. In 2004 at the young age of 28, she lost her battle to colon cancer. The following year, Heather's family and friends partnered with Hope Cancer Resources to help make sure other cancer patients have access to the care they need during treatment and to educate individuals that early detection does save lives. The Heather Ridley-Fleeman Battle for Hope began shortly thereafter.

Battle for Hope includes a 10k and 5k run, 5k walk, awards ceremony and prize drawings. By participating in this event, you can help Hope Cancer Resources continue our mission of providing cancer support and education in Northwest Arkansas today and tomorrow. All proceeds from the event go directly to our patient support and community education programs.

There are several different ways you can participate in this year's Heather Ridley-Fleeman Battle for Hope that will take place Saturday, May 6 at Old Tiger Stadium in Bentonville. If you want to rack up steps on your FitBit, you can participate in the 10k or 5k run, or the 5k walk. Start or join a team to make your experience even more fun! Or if early-morning exercise isn't your cup of tea, you can purchase a few tickets for our prize drawings. If you like being a behind-the-scenes participant, we'd love to have you as a volunteer. Lastly, if you're interested in giving even more to the cancer patients we serve while getting your name out into the community, you can become one of our sponsors.
