February News
We are offering three biannual support groups this
spring. Support groups offer many benefits to people living with cancer. They
provide emotional support and connect survivors with others who are in similar
situations.
Art, Healing & Hope: Collaging Your Story Every Thursday, April 5-May 10, 5:30-7 p.m.
This six-week support group is offered to patients with
any type of cancer. Group members will create a collage of their personal
cancer journey. Art, Healing & Hope helps survivors address any thoughts
and feelings related to their diagnoses and offers the opportunity to connect
with other survivors. All supplies needed for the project will be provided.

Empower Your Recovery is a five-week group that provides
support and education for living beyond cancer, after treatment ends. The group
is open to survivors who have completed treatment for any type of cancer. Group

CLIMB® – Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery Every Monday, March 26-April 30, 5:30-7 p.m.
CLIMB is a Children’s Treehouse Family support group for
children ages 6-12 who have a parent or loved one diagnosed with cancer. The
six-week long group will teach children on an age-appropriate level about
cancer, feelings they may be experiencing, and how to have open communication
with their loved one who was diagnosed. The children will meet in one group
while their parents meet in a separate group so that they have the opportunity
to discuss their own concerns in a mature environment.
